South Australia’s new planning system is now live.
All Development Applications (DAs) must be lodged via the State Government's PlanSA ePlanning Portal.
To lodge an application please visit the ePlanning Portal here.
The relevant authority for most DAs will be the Mid North Regional Assessment Panel (MNAP), which is a regional authority that has been established by the Minister for Planning to determine DAs within Regional Council of Goyder, Clare & Gilbert Valley’s Council, Northern Areas Council and Wakefield Council regions. While the relevant authority is MNRAP, Council's Planning Consultants (Masterplan Town & Country Planners) will continue to administer DAs on behalf of the MNRAP.

For specific Information about your property:
The State-wide Planning and Design Code has replaced Council Development Plans and can be found on the PlanSA website.
To assist in your planning you can also visit SAPPA (South Australian Property and Planning Atlas) a free mapping tool that shows zoning across South Australia. By entering your property address you can see how the Planning and Design Code applies to you.
To find out what you can do on your property please visit plan.sa.gov.au and refer to the Using the Planning and Design Code tab. Alternatively Council is still here to assist you and to answer any questions so please contact us on 8892 0100, or email council@ goyder.sa.gov.au
Any applications that were lodged prior to Friday 19 March 2021 will continue to be assessed and processed in accordance with the Development Act 1993 and Development Regulations 2006.
PLEASE NOTE: The majority of the Regional Council of Goyder region is not serviced by an SA Water sewer system. Therefore should your proposal require the disposal of wastewater then a waste control application is likely to be required. Please contact Council’s Environmental Health Officer to discuss this prior to lodging a Development Application on the ePlanning Portal via eho@goyder.sa.gov.au .
