The town of Burra is rich with mining heritage and most of it’s 1840’s legacy is still intact. The surest way to get the whole picture is to purchase a Burra Heritage Passport, which gives you instant access to see, hear and touch the past.

The Passport allows you key access to 11 locked sites and you can use the key for up to two days. Please allow a minimun of 4 hours to appreciate as much of  the sites as possible:

  • The Powder Magazine
  • Redruth Gaol
  • Unicorn Brewery Cellars
  • Miners Dugouts
  • Malowen Lowarth Cottage
  • Police Lockup & Stables
  • Hampton Village

  • Discounted entry to the Bon Accord Mine Museum
  • The ‘’Discovering Historic Burra” book details 46 historic sites over an 11 km driving trail.

Burra Heritage Passport Entry Pricing:

Please note a $50 Heritage Key Deposit is required for each group. This is refunded upon return of the key.

FREE – Children 15 years & Under

$20 – Local residents (with up to 6 guests)

Dogs are welcome with you on your adventure!
