Due to unforeseen circumstances Council has moved the Public Representation Component of the draft Annual Business Plan & Budget 2024/25, Long Term Financial
Plan 2024-2034 and Rating Review to 2-3pm on Tuesday 4th June 2024.

Submissions should be sent to: Chief Executive Officer, Regional Council of Goyder, 1 Market Square Burra SA 5417, or sent to council@goyder.sa.gov.au and be received before 4.00pm Tuesday 14th May 2024.

Council have set aside up to one hour on Tuesday 4th June May 2024 from 2.00pm for
questions and presentations.

The documents can be viewed via Councils website at Public Consultation | Goyder Regional Council or via hardcopy at the Council Offices.

Barrier Highway Safety Upgrade

Expect delays on the Barrier Hwy from Burra to Riverton from Monday, 6 May 2024 until late November 2024, weather permitting. Operating hours will be from 6am-6pm, Monday to Saturday.

Goyder Building Fire Safety Committee

Pursuant to section 157(17) of the Planning, Developmen & Infrastructure Act 2016 (the PDI Act), the Regional Council of Goyder, established a body to be known as the Goyder Building Fire Safety Committee (GBFSC).

The GBFSC is established for the purposes of acting as the 'appropriate authority' (as that term is defined in the PDI Act) in respect of all fire safety matters arising under the PDI Act (including those commenced under section 71 of the former Development Act 1993).

The GBFSC is empowered to take action, where circumstances warrant such action, to formally request alterations or upgrading to buildings to improve to an acceptable standard the fire safety of buildings including compliance with the requirements of the Building Code of Australia and relevant standards where considered appropriate by the Building Fire Safety Committee.
