Due to unforeseen circumstances Council has moved the Public Representation Component of the draft Annual Business Plan & Budget 2024/25, Long Term Financial
Plan 2024-2034 and Rating Review to 2-3pm on Tuesday 4th June 2024.

Submissions should be sent to: Chief Executive Officer, Regional Council of Goyder, 1 Market Square Burra SA 5417, or sent to council@goyder.sa.gov.au and be received before 4.00pm Tuesday 14th May 2024.

Council have set aside up to one hour on Tuesday 4th June May 2024 from 2.00pm for
questions and presentations.

The documents can be viewed via Councils website at Public Consultation | Goyder Regional Council or via hardcopy at the Council Offices.

Expect delays on the Barrier Hwy from Burra to Riverton from Monday, 6 May 2024 until late November 2024, weather permitting. Operating hours will be from 6am-6pm, Monday to Saturday.

Goyder Youth Advisory Committee

Aged 12 to 25? Interested in being part of our Youth Advisory Committee (YAC)?

If you live in the Goyder region, and want to get involved in organising local events or want to have a voice in your community, then register your interest via email or by filling out the attached pdf form.

What is the Goyder YAC? 

YAC is a volunteer committee for young people aged 12 to 25 years who are passionate about their community and live, work, study or volunteer in the Regional Council of Goyder.

YAC meets bimonthly, and connect via video conferencing from the Burra Council office and the Eudunda Youth Room, on Monday evenings from 3:30pm to 5:30pm (snacks are provided). Follow our Facebook page for updates. 

Even if you're not quite sure, we encourage all young people to consider joining the Goyder YAC to attend one meeting as a guest first, to see if this is the Committee for you.

What the Goyder YAC does? 

The YAC assist Council to develop and run youth events and programs, and advise Council on current issues affecting youth.

What's in it for me? 

The benefits of being involved in YAC include:

  • having a say in what happens locally for young people.
  • learning about the local community and Council.
  • participating in free training sessions.
  • meeting new people and making new friends.
  • developing professional skill, including minute taking and chairing meetings.
