Revoking Community Land Classification - Consultation

Public Consultation

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 194 of the local government Act 1999 that the Regional Council of Goyder resolved to commence public consultation for the revocation of the following parcel of land from the classification of community land.

The RC Goyder is seeking public feedback on a proposal to revoke the classification of community land for Allotment 169 of Deposit Plan 186681 hundreds of Ayres (Certificate of Title – Volume 5699 Folio 481).

A purchase request has been submitted by the adjoining landowner of the property LT 168 FP186680  (CT5786/248)  to  purchase  the  community  land  in  Booborowie  Township. Council has indicated that the land (Approximately 126m2) is surplus to its needs and is no longer required.

When Council proposes to revoke the classification of community land, Council is required to prepare a Revocation of the Classification of Community Land Report (the Report) for public consultation. At the conclusion of public consultation, the Report and results of the  public  consultation  will  be  presented  to  the  Minister  for  Local  Government  for consideration.

The Regional Council of Goyder welcomes your feedback on the proposal to revoke the classification of community land at Allotment 169 of Deposit Plan 186681 hundreds of Ayres. You can provide your feedback by 5pm on Tuesday 20 September 2023.

Submissions  must be  emailed  to  council@goyder.sa.gov.au or  sent  by  regular mail to Council at 1 Market Square, Burra SA 5417.

The Council will have regard to all submissions received within the required timeframe before making any determination regarding the proposal.
