Public Consultation Period Extended

The Council gives notice, pursuant to section 222 and 223 of the local Government Act 1999 (“the Act”), that it is considering a proposal to grant to (Collinsville Station):

A permit under section 222 of the Act for a 5-year term to exclusively use the portions of Pulpara and Mallett roads for a business purpose in connection with the business activities on adjacent land.

The roads are marked ‘Red’ and are available here:

The plans are also available during ordinary office hours at the Council Principal Office at 1 Market Square, Burra SA 5417.

Due to the high level of interest and enquiries related to the proposal, Council have extended the public consultation period by a further 28 days, closing 21^st June 2023.

The Council will have regard to all submissions received within the required timeframe before making any determination regarding the proposal.

Submissions must be emailed to council@goyder.sa.gov.au or sent by regular mail to Council at 1 Market Square, Burra SA 5417.

National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering and will be held on 15 – 21 May 2023.

This years theme is The Change Makers. The week-long event recognises the vital support that the millions of volunteers in our country provide to their communities and encourages people to consider volunteering.

The Regional Council of Goyder values the wonderful and extensive contribution that volunteers make to our community. Their hard work contributes significantly to the quality and vibrancy of Goyder…making it a great place to live, work and play!

Over the coming week we will introduce you to some of our wonderful volunteers, and hear what volunteering means to them.
