Afternoon Tea and a Chat with Simon Spain

The Regional Council of Goyder partnered with Burra Regional Art Gallery on Wednesday 2 March 2022 to host Dr Simon Spain. Simon is the Chair of Regional Arts Australia and a Fellow of the Australia Council for the Arts and has a distinguished career as an artist and community cultural development activist.

His current project in Tasmania provides residency and capacity building opportunities for artists through his creative initiative ‘All That We Are’. This is an informative and thought provoking artistic presentation and we are very grateful of the time Dr Spain spent with us.

The event was well attended. The Goyder arts community was joined by artists and arts practitioners from the Barossa, Clare Valley, Maitland, the Riverland and Whyalla.

The Regional Council of Goyder filmed the event for viewing by those who could not be present on the day.
