SA Agricultural Town of the Year 2025
South Australian Agricultural Town of the Year 2025 – Nominations are closing soon!
The Agricultural Town of the Year Program
Do you live in a town that's passionate about agriculture? A place where farming isn't just a job, but a way of life? Or do you know of a town that you feel has helped grow primary industries and driven regional development? If so, it's time to nominate a town for the 2025 Agricultural Town of the Year Award. The Agricultural Town of the Year Award highlights the vital role that agriculture plays in the regional landscape – being the backbone of most regional communities. The Award recognises South Australian towns that excel in agricultural practices and are great places to live and work.
How can you get involved?
Nominate a town you feel should be recognised as the Agricultural Town of the Year. Nominating is a simple process that only takes a few moments. A nomination can be made by anyone. The winning town will be announced at a special awards night on Wednesday 5 November at Lot 100, Hay Valley. Town representatives will be invited to attend and accept the Award from the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development.
Why nominate?
The Agricultural Town of the Year Award provides regional communities the opportunity to reflect on their contributions to South Australia’s primary industries and regional development, showcasing the flow on effect that they have on regional communities, while shining a spotlight on the town.
In addition to being recognised as the '2025 South Australian Agricultural Town of the Year', the winning town will receive:
- Certificate and trophy presented by the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development at the Awards event.
- Sign for the town entrance recognising their achievement.
- Community event and sign unveiling to celebrate the 'Agricultural Town of the Year'.
- Double page feature in the 2026 February edition of SALIFE magazine.
- Media exposure around the Award.
- Stories published to showcase the achievements of individuals and businesses that have made a significant contribution to the town.
- Networking opportunities with other regional communities.
Nominations close Wednesday, 21 May 2025.
