2025 Kerbside Bin Collection Calendar

The Regional Council of Goyder are pleased to announce that all residents with a current kerbside waste and recycling pick up will soon receive an additional service – a FOGO (Food Organics Green Organics) green-waste bin.

Changes to expect:

• Additional 240L green-waste bin
• All bins will be collected fortnightly from 1^st July 2025 (red lidded reduced from weekly to fortnightly)
  • Note: On the second week of the fortnightly collection for the red lidded bin, this will now be substituted for the green lidded bin. This is reflected in the 2025 Kerbside Waste calendar attached to this letter.
• Collection days will not change
• Kerbside Waste rates will not change

Preparation for new waste strategy

• Your current 240L green lidded recycle bin will be used as the green waste bin.
• The Regional Council of Goyder will deliver a new 240L yellow lidded, black bodied bin (which will be used for recycling) to each property & business within the Goyder region that currently has a waste collection service.
  • (for those that already use a yellow lidded bin for recycling, you will need to contact council to collect a 240L green lidded bin)
• Along with the new bins, a smaller kitchen caddy and a roll of compostable bags will also be delivered.
• New bins will be delivered to properties from April 2025. A letter will be sent closer to the date for each town and when the bins are expected to be delivered.
