Heritage Conservation Grants - Round 5
Heritage Conservation Grants

South Australia has a rich heritage that contributes to our quality of life and connects us to our history and stories.
Since 2018, the Heritage Grants Program has been funding conservation works with benefits including adaptive reuse of historic buildings, support for heritage trades, and support for State Heritage Places in rural and urban areas across South Australia.
- Heritage Conservation Grants are available to owners of State heritage listed places.
- Grants provide up to $20,000 for conservation work or documentation
- All grants are provided on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
Funding is provided on a dollar-for-dollar basis and is available for private owners, companies, local councils & community groups who are owners of State Heritage Places, and owners or businesses within a State Heritage Area. State Heritage Places owned by the State Government are not eligible.

The Heritage Conservation Grant Program is competitive, so in addition to the conservation benefits of projects, special consideration may also be given to projects that benefit the public realm, activate under-utilised places, and support specialised heritage training.
Applications for the program will close at 2:00pm on Wednesday 6th April 2022 and no late submissions will be accepted. All applications must be submitted through the DEW Grant Management System at the link here: http://gmsportal.environment.sa.gov.au.
Please refer to the attached GMS Application Guide for instructions when submitting an application.
