Back to Burra – 180 Years!
It’s here! The celebration program for Back to Burra – 180 Years!
This May, the community of Burra is bringing you a fantastic line up of immersive and fascinating events to honour Burra’s 180-year history.
The original Back to Burra event took place in 1925, and one hundred years on, we are proud to say our enduring community and spirit are as strong as ever. This is a time to come together, reconnect, and celebrate everything that makes Burra so special.
Plan your itinerary now and explore the full program at Visit Burra, or drop into the Burra & Goyder Visitor Information Centre for a printed copy.
Please share this far and wide with everyone who has a connection to Burra and the surrounding region—everyone is welcome as we celebrate this historic occasion.
How fabulous is our logo! It’s an incredible artist’s impression by talented local Anthea Wright, inspired by the original Back to Burra town banner that adorned each entrance to Burra in 1925 seen in the original black and white image. A beautiful tribute to our history as we celebrate Back to Burra – 180 Years!
