Clouds Of Stone exhibition Opening is Sunday 24 March 2pm at Burra Regional Art gallery (BRAG), 6 Market Street, Burra SA.
An exciting collection Clouds of Stone boasts forty works painted over the last five years spilling through both gallery rooms.
The paintings suggest unbounded colour with hues and limitless space, a little other-worldly with notional presence.
Visiting with his mother Nick will present an Artist Talk sharing his inspirations of looking at country as the mystical place of a recurring revitalization.
As in life someone dies and yet a person learns to live.
Solace has been found in the quiet embrace of a beautiful sphere of nearby landscapes.
The artist Nick Sara was born in the Burra Hospital in December 1960.
His father and grandfather owned the store at Saras Corner, and his great-great-grandfather built the original school building.
As a boy the eastern hills above and beyond the football oval were a vast universe for exploration and imagination.
As a young adult Nick ventured to work in the central desert Luritja region. Later in life the Danggali and Ngadjuri country surrounding Burra became his place of revival.
Clouds Of Stone will run from 24 March through to Sunday 12 May 2024.
