Burra Township master Plan

We would like to hear from our community
Council is interested in community views on the growth and development of Burra Township.

Council is preparing the Burra Township Master Plan to provide an outline for appropriate growth and development of Burra Township. The plan, developed with and for the community, will set the direction for the next 20 years to address growth pressures, whilst maintaining the important character and amenity of Burra.

Growth of Burra Township associated with the proposed nomination (and subsequent identification) as a World Heritage site, will create challenges and opportunities.

Planning for the growth of Burra Township whilst continuing to be an appealing, attractive and affordable place to live, requires a long term strategy. The strategy needs to address to general growth, and the growth anticipated with a successful World Heritage bid.
