SA Health Promoting Egg Safety

25th November 2020
There have been incidents of Salmonella poisoning in the community due to eggs being eaten raw.

Uncooked food that contains raw egg has a higher risk of giving you food poisoning, as contaminated eggs can contain Salmonella. Cooking eggs thoroughly will kill the bacteria.

Symptoms of food poisoning include:

  • Stomach cramps
  • Fever
  • Headache
