Don't Visit Goyder - An Important Message

6th April 2020

We are in a time of crisis due to COVID-19, and the health and safety of the Goyder community is our priority.

We implore all visitors to stay away at this time.

Now is not the time to be travelling in Goyder nor planning a holiday for the Easter or School holiday break.

Goyder is a region with more than a quarter of its population over 60 years of age, and 10 per cent of those residents are over 75.

Our valued health services, resources and facilities are limited.

We cannot afford to put further pressure on an already stretched local health system as a result of an outbreak of COVID-19.

Stay home and do your part in protecting our most vulnerable residents.

Come back and visit after the Covid-19 Pandemic is over… when you can really appreciate the stunning landscapes, buy from our local businesses, meet the local characters and visit the unique heritage tourist attractions.

We promise that our community will welcome you into the Goyder region with open arms then.

Thank you for doing your part in saving lives.
