Connecting Drought Communities - Event Grant

Community groups and local governments in eligible drought-affected areas of South Australia can apply for event funding under the Connecting Drought Communities - Events Grant.

CONNECTING DROUGHT COMMUNITIES – EVENTS GRANT

Community groups and local governments in eligible drought-affected areas of South Australia can apply for event funding under the Connecting Drought Communities – Events Grant.

How much funding you can apply for

Your organisation can apply for funding for one or more events, up to a maximum of $10,000 for each event. The total funding available is $330,000.

Events eligible for the grant

Events must:

  • be open to the community
  • offer free or low-cost entry
  • aim to help build community resilience and wellbeing
  • be held before 15 June 2021.

Events can be (but aren’t limited to) a:

  • picnic
  • online party
  • seminar
  • dance
  • sports carnival
  • open air cinema
  • car rally
  • concert
  • quiz night
  • street party
  • reunion
  • laser light show
  • barbeque
  • arts festival
  • exhibition.

Under the current COVID-19 restrictions, events can be virtual or planned for when restrictions have eased.

Organisations eligible for the grant

Your organisation can be:

  • a community or industry group
  • a club or association
  • local government.

Your organisation must also be located within an eligible drought-affected local government area.

The program is a competitive process and priority funding will be given to regions significantly affected by drought.
