Burra Regional Art Gallery Reopening

Extended hours for Burra’s top rating arts attraction to 28 June
10am to 4pm every day

The autumn weather is glorious, the wheat is in and businesses are cautiously reopening with Covid-19 restrictions in place according to SA Government guidelines.

Alongside our Princess Royal sponsored FACE VALUE: Portrait Competition 2020 with its winners and highly commended works (judged just in time by Erin Davidson of the Art Gallery of South Australia)

The Art of Machine Stitching curated by Moira Simpson of Evocative Arts and textile writer in The Adelaide Review. Moira has brought together machine stitchery artists from urban and rural SA, reflecting the exciting diversity of potential in this growing area of expertise and creativity.

Works by reception, primary and secondary students from Burra and Booborowie Schools, enthusiastically supported by teachers and students in the gallery’s twice yearly competitions, now with the added impetus of a young artist award.
