Public Consultation Period Extended

The Council gives notice, pursuant to section 222 and 223 of the local Government Act 1999 (“the Act”), that it is considering a proposal to grant to (Collinsville Station):

A permit under section 222 of the Act for a 5-year term to exclusively use the portions of Pulpara and Mallett roads for a business purpose in connection with the business activities on adjacent land.

The roads are marked ‘Red’ and are available here:

The plans are also available during ordinary office hours at the Council Principal Office at 1 Market Square, Burra SA 5417.

Due to the high level of interest and enquiries related to the proposal, Council have extended the public consultation period by a further 28 days, closing 21st June 2023.

The Council will have regard to all submissions received within the required timeframe before making any determination regarding the proposal.

Submissions must be emailed to council@goyder.sa.gov.au or sent by regular mail to Council at 1 Market Square, Burra SA 5417.

2023 - 24 Heritage Conservation Grants Now Open!

South Australia has a rich heritage that contributes to our quality of life and connects us to our history and stories. Since 2018, the Heritage Grants Program has been funding conservation works with benefits including adaptive reuse of heritage buildings, support for heritage trades, and support for State Heritage Places in rural and urban areas across South Australia.

The new Heritage Conservation Grant Program will provide a total of $2.5m in grant funding during the next decade – up from $1.25m provided under the previous program initiated in 2018.

This new program is now open to receive applications and will close 2:00pm 10 August 2023. All applications must be submitted through our new DEW SmartyGrant System. Further details about the program and a link to the application form is here.
