Councils Drought Resilience Coordinator Lucy Drummond is responsible for implementing a local drought support program aimed at enhancing the resilience of communities to face the impact of drought and related stressors. Lucy plays a critical role in developing and implementing local/community-based resilience building initiatives and relationships, to support communities working closely with Council and other relevant organisations.
Lucy has a strong focus on community engagement, implementing sustainable and effective community preparedness and recovery initiatives aimed to increase community capacity to support a strong, positive recovery and to better prepare for future disaster events. She is a self-motivated and proactive person, able to manage their own time and any support roles and volunteers’ time effectively, with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Lucy is an experienced Project Worker with a demonstrated history of working in the non-profit organisation management industry. She is skilled in Nonprofit Organisations, Social Services, Youth At Risk, Youth Development, and Crisis Intervention. Strong community and social services professional with a Diploma Community Services focused in Mental and Social Health Services and Allied Professions from TAFE SA.
