We have an opportunity for an enterprising and innovative person to join one of South Australia’s most progressive Councils. The Regional Council of Goyder, located within the Clare Valley Tourism region, is home to approximately 4,500 people. The region is one of the most diverse in Australia spanning from the edge of the vines to the edge of the outback, our region has unlimited potential, and we want to tell the world about it!

Congratulations to all the recipients of the Australia Day Awards across the Goyder Region. Awards will be presented at the Australia Day Community Breakfasts on the Friday 26 January 2018 in Hallett, Burra, Robertstown and Eudunda.

UPDATE: Commencement of the project has been delayed until Mon 12th Feb, however it is expected works will still be completed by 5th March 2018. As part of Councils Capital Works program, the road bridge located in Chapel St immediately south of the Bridge St West intersection Burra has been scheduled for replacement. Works are expected to take 4 weeks to complete starting Monday 5th February 2018

World's End Reserve- Changes to Public Access

31 October 2017
Due to the fire on Sunday 29th Oct, the Regional Council of Goyder has closed the eastern section of Worlds End Reserve to the public. Council staff will be carrying out tree inspections and remedial work over the coming months to return this part of the camping area to a safe state.

Changes to start of Fire Danger Season:

18 October 2017
The South Australian Country Fire Service have fixed the date of the Fire Danger Season within the Mid North to commence on the 1st of November 2017 and to end on the 30th of April 2018.

Tourism, Arts & Heritage Policy Adopted

6 October 2017
A foundation policy for Tourism, Arts and Heritage, developed for and including the residents of the Goyder Council region, was adopted at a recent meeting of the Regional Council of Goyder.

Fourteen community groups joined Catherine Mooney from AGL and Regional Council of Goyder Elected Member’s and staff in a morning tea to celebrate their successful application to the AGL Wind Farm Community Fund. Over $25000 of grant funding was allocated to a diverse range of projects across the Goyder region.

Work Starts on Eudunda Bypass

Works will start this week on a heavy vehicle bypass at Eudunda - one of the reforms from a 90-day transport project which has already saved the agricultural industry more than $50 million in transport costs.
