Tourism

The Burra and Goyder region has a wide diversity of attractions to offer visitors. Apart from the friendliness and old fashioned service for which country towns are renowned, there are also many things to see and do.

Burra is synonymous with copper mining, and there is a wealth of mining heritage readily accessible to all. Apart from the mining past, history buffs will find much of interest in the Hallett, Terowie and Eudunda areas, and Robertstown is a great stepping off point for the some of the eco-tourism attractions of the area.

The entire Burra and Goyder area features untouched rural views, from rolling hills and valleys, to breathtaking gorges and lagoons. For the outdoors types, the region is an excellent place for eco-tourism. Walks, bike rides, flora and fauna, and drive tours - we have it all.

Interested in arts, crafts, and antiques (and who can resist browsing and perhaps purchasing something special as a memento of their visit)? - then you will be well catered for in Burra and Goyder.

While you are here, enjoy the accommodation, food (and pubs). The Burra and Goyder region offers many unique dining experiences - from a quiet bistro meal in a country hotel, light snacks, takeaways and devonshire teas, to a 3-course indulgence at one of our specialised restaurants. For just a drink, call in to one of the many pubs in the region. There are also a number of outlets retailing locally produced delicacies for which this region is establishing a good reputation.
