TREES IN PAXTON SQUARE COTTAGES

Council has been successful in securing grant funding through the Australian Heritage Grants Program 2018-19, Grant Agreement AHG75105 for the landscaping and beautification of the internal common area of the Paxton Square Cottages.

As part of the Paxton Square Landscaping project, it is required that Council remove 15 trees on the site. A tree risk report was conducted on majority of the trees during the planning stages of the project with the trees marked for removal deemed to be failed or past their useful life.

As part of this upgrade a further 45 trees will be planted in the Paxton Square Cottages site, which may consist of the following State Heritage approved species – Lagerstroemia- Crepe Myrtle, Jacaranda Mimosifolia – Jacaranda, Hymenosporum Flavum – Native Frangipani, Pistacia Chinensis – Pistacio.
