Council Meetings

Council Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month in the Council Meeting Room, 1 Market Square, Burra, commencing at 1.00pm. 

If required, special Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month in the Council Meeting Room, 1 Market Square, Burra, commencing at 1.00pm.

Members of the public are welcome to attend Council meetings.

Agenda and Minutes
Agendas for the monthly Council meetings are placed on public display no less than three days prior to, and minutes are available within five days after the meetings, at the Burra and Eudunda offices.

Agendas and Minutes are also posted to Council's web site.

Public Participation

Members of the public have a number of opportunities to put forward their views on particular issues before Council. These are :

Deputations
With the permission of the Committee Chairman or the Council Mayor, a member of the public can address a Committee or the Council personally or on behalf of a group of residents on any issue relevant to Council.

Presentations to Council
With prior notification and arrangements with the Council Mayor, a member can address the Council for up to ten minutes on any issue relevant to Council.

Petitions
Written petitions can be addressed to the Council on any issue within the Council's jurisdiction.

Written Requests
A member of the public can write to the Council on any Council policy, activity or service.

Elected Members
Members of the public can contact Elected Members of Council to discuss any issue relevant to Council.
